.SYNOPSIS...
High temperatures will warm a few to around 5 degrees into the
weekend with high temperatures within a few degrees of average to
around 5 degrees above average. High temperatures will then cool a
few to around 5 degrees through the end of next week with high
temperatures on Thursday around average to around 5 degrees below
average for the valleys. The marine layer will fluctuate between
1500 and 2000 feet deep with night and morning coastal low clouds
spreading into the western valleys late each night.

.DISCUSSION...FOR EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA INCLUDING ORANGE...
SAN DIEGO...WESTERN RIVERSIDE AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN BERNARDINO
COUNTIES...

.SHORT TERM (Today through Sunday)...
High temperatures for the coast and valleys will warm a few to
around 5 degrees through Saturday followed by slight cooling on
Sunday. The lower deserts will warm a few degrees through
Saturday with not much change on Sunday. High temperatures for the
weekend will be within a few degrees of average for most areas
with the deserts around 5 degrees above average. High temperatures
for the weekend will range from the lower 70s near the coast to
the upper 80s to mid 90s for the Inland Empire with 106 to 112 for
the lower deserts. The marine layer will be 1500 to 2000 feet
deep with night and morning coastal low clouds spreading into the
western valleys late each night.

.LONG TERM (Monday through Thursday)...
For the coast and valleys, the slow cooling trend will continue
through the end of next week with high temperatures on Thursday a
few to around 5 degrees cooler than this Saturday. For the
deserts, not much change is expected on Monday followed by a few
degrees of cooling through the end of next week.

For next Thursday, high temperatures will be around average to
around 5 degrees below average for the valleys with high
temperatures ranging from around 70 near the coast to the mid 80s
to lower 90s for the Inland Empire with 104 to 108 for the lower
deserts.

The marine layer will remain around 1500 to 2000 feet deep with
night and morning coastal low clouds spreading into the western
valleys late each night.

.AVIATION...
260900....Coast/Valleys...
Low clouds have successfully pushed inland around 10-15 miles, and
some further inland spread is expected through 12z. Bases generally
800-1100ft MSL. Chance of a CIG at KONT by 12z is around 50%. Likely
VIS reductions down to 2-3SM at times for IE and valleys. Clearing
out of the IE and valleys likely to begin by 16z, clearing to the
coast by 18-19z. 60-70% chance for patchy low clouds lingering at
the beaches, especially in San Diego County, through the afternoon.
Low clouds based 600-1000ft MSL likely to push ashore tonight after
02-04z, with slightly less inland coverage and more widespread VIS
reductions, especially coastal mesas.

Mountains/Deserts...Clear skies with unrestricted VIS through
Saturday morning. Brief gusts up to 30-40 mph possible across the
deserts and mountain passes this afternoon and early evening with
weaker winds tonight into Saturday morning.

No hazardous marine conditions are expected through Tuesday.
